Fitness/P.E.: This is Physical education according to Missouri State standards.
What to expect: Students will learn proper use of stretching, warming up (for sports/weight training), cooling down, cardio, anaerobic and aerobic activities, games/sports include: Hantis, Tennis, Ping Pong, Water Pong, Flag Football, Basketball, Kickball, Baseball, Soccer/Futbol, Fence to Fence, Weight lifting unit, Golf, Frisbee, more sports will be added as the year progresses.
Off campus work: Wilson's gym will set up fitness days to work with students, obstacle course and circuit training will ensue. Students will learn golf at local driving range, putt putt. students will be traveling to local bowling alley, batting cages, and laser tag.

Week 1: 8/19-8/22: Students will be introduced to the class, rules, expectations, safety, and then the game of Hantis or Water Pong will be introduced. On Friday, 8/22 students will be tested for physical conditioning.
Week 2: 8/25-8/29: Students will intro to volleyball, open gym on Friday best behaved students will choose activity.
Week 3: 9/2-9/5: Students will be introduced to drills and play the sport of Futbol/Soccer.
Week 4: 9/8-9/12: Intro to Ultimate Frisbee and field trip to Cosmo Park for full field Soccer.
Week 5: 9/15-9/19: Ultimate Frisbee games outside and inside for proper throwing techniques
Week 6: 9/22-9/26: Flag Football, games outside possible trip to Cosmo Park, Pass, Punt, Kick practice
Week 7: 9/30-10/3: Ping Pong introductions in gymnasium, field trip planning
Week 8: 10/6-10/10: If funding is available students will be going to local driving range for putt putt golf, batting cages, and a full sized driving range. If funding is not available, we will begin our Kickball unit. Outside on the baseball field weather pending.
Week 9: 10/13-10/18: Students will be playing Aerobic Bowling in the gymnasium, and on Friday, October, 17th, will be given their test out scores for the end of first quarter.
Week 10: 10/20-10/24: Students will be playing disc golf (frisbee golf), and some make up kick ball since our weather wasn't good for the week we had it.
Week 11: 10/27-10/31: Dodgeball week!!!!!!!!! Watch out for more than ghosts, watch out for flying balls!!!! Dodge, dip, dive, duck, and....dodge!!!!!!
Week 12: 11/3-11/7: Gym Stations week, students will be put into teams and compete at 5 different sporting locations for fitness testing. Shuffle Board, Soccer Goal shots, Box Jumps, Jump rope, and Bean Bag Toss. NO School on Tuesday, November, 4th.
Week 13: 11/10-11/13: Basketball in the gym, students will practice drills, dribbling, shooting, passing, and team relays before starting any games.
Week 14: 11/17-11/23: Bowling on Monday off campus, substitute on Wednesday.
Week 15: 11/24-11/25: Early dismissal on Tuesday the 25th. Students will be on Thanksgiving break rest of week.
Week 16: 12/1-12/5: P90X WEEK, let's get fit!
Week 17: 12/8-12/12: P90X, Bowling, Volley Ball, and Indoor Soccer
Week 18: 12/15-12/19: FINALS Week, students will have PE final test out on December 18th. Fun day 12/19

Week 5: 2/3-2/6: School was cancelled on Monday, 2/2; Gym Activities and weight training
Week 6: 2/9-2/12: No School on Friday for teacher work collaborations. Badminton and tennis
Week 7: 2/17-2/20: 4 day week; Students will be doing relays and obstacle course challenges like the Broken Skull Ranch hosted by Stone Cold Steve Austin on CMT.
Week 8: 2/23-2/26: 4 day week; gym activities are as follows: Obstacle course, Baseball, Badminton, Kickball for this cold week.
Week 9: 3/2-3/6: Kickball and Baseball within the Gym.
DHS family dinner night on Thursday, 2/26 from 4:30-6:30
Week 10: 3/9-3/13: Bowling off campus to AMF, Outside field activities on Tuesday-Thursday, MU Campus visitors to do activities with the students on Fridays for the rest of the semester!!!!! Welcome MU Tigers!

3/23-3/27 Spring Break School will not be in session

Week 13: 4/6-4/10: Job fair will be held within the gym, so students will outside on the DHS baseball/softball fields, due to inclement we will have some activities in the gym during the rest of the week. Next week students will be traveling off campus to Perche Creek for golf activities.
